Kizilcaterzi Merlot
We have harvested about 5,5 tons per hectare from Kızılcaterzi vineyard during the vine harvest in the first week of September. Merlot, which was cultivated using the most modern micro viniculture methods, was transformed into wine as a result of long fermentation periods inside small barrels once 12 days of maceration was completed. Kızılcaterzi Merlot, is aged during 12 months inside 225 liter barrels made of 87 % French and 13 % American oaks. To add a stronger and full bodied taste to Merlot grape which is known with its velvety wines, we have added 18 % of Shiraz grapes to Kızılcaterzi Merlot’s 2012 harvest, enabling you to discover deeper presence of taste on your palate. Kızılcaterzi Merlot which is a fruity, strong, rounded and esay to drink wine, invokes the notes of raspberry, red-current and roasted hazelnuts.
