Kizilcaterzi Merlot
We have harvested about 5.5 tons per hectare from Kizilcaterzi vineyard during the vine harvest in the first week of September.
Merlot, which was cultivated using the most modern micro viniculture methods, was transformed into wine as a result of long fermentation periods inside small barrels, once 17 days of maceration was completed. Kizilcaterzi Merlot is aged during 6 months inside 225 liter barrels of 100% French oak. To add a stronger and more bodied taste to Merlot grape which is known with its velvety wines, we have added 5% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to Kizilcaterzi Merlot’s 2017 harvest,enabling you to discover deeper presence of taste on your palate. Kizilcaterzi Merlot, which is a fruity, strong, rounded and easy to drink wine, recalls the notes of raspberry, red-current and roasted hazelnuts.
